Job Overview:

We are seeking a talented and creative In-House Video Editor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for producing high-quality video content that aligns with the brand's vision and goals. This role requires technical expertise in video editing software, a strong sense of storytelling, and the ability to collaborate closely with different departments to bring concepts to life.

 

Key Responsibilities:

- Create and Edit Video Content: Assemble raw footage into a polished final product, including trimming, color correction, sound editing, and applying transitions or special effects as needed.

- Collaborate with Creative Teams: Work closely with content creators, marketing teams, and stakeholders to understand the project’s requirements and produce videos that meet the desired objectives.

- Collaboration for Video Content Creation: Participate in the conceptualization and planning of video shoots, including brainstorming ideas, creating storyboards, and offering input on best practices.

- Motion Graphics and Visual Effects: Create basic animations, graphics, and titles to enhance video content when required.

- File Management: Organize and archive footage, edits, and completed projects in an efficient and accessible manner.

- Adhere to Deadlines: Manage multiple projects while meeting deadlines and maintaining a high quality of work.

- Brand Consistency: Ensure all video content aligns with the company's brand guidelines and maintains a cohesive look and feel.

- Stay Updated on Industry Trends: Keep abreast of new editing technologies, techniques, and software advancements to ensure content stays fresh and competitive.

- Sound Design: Incorporate music, sound effects, and voice-overs effectively to enhance the storytelling of the video.

 

Qualifications:

- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Film, Multimedia, Communications, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).

- Experience: 3-5 years of professional video editing experience, preferably in an in-house or agency setting.

- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, After Effects, and other relevant video editing software. Knowledge of color grading, audio mixing, and basic animation is a plus.

- Portfolio: A strong portfolio showcasing a variety of work, including corporate videos, product educational and promotional videos, social media content, and other relevant projects.

- Creativity: Strong sense of storytelling, pacing, and visual aesthetics, with the ability to adapt styles based on project needs.

- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to take direction and provide feedback during the creative process.

- Time Management: Strong organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to manage deadlines and prioritize multiple projects.

- Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively with a cross-functional team and adapt to fast-changing needs.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience with motion graphics and animation.

- Familiarity with video formats and platforms (YouTube, Vimeo, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.).

- Experience in video production (filming, lighting, camera work).

- Knowledge of photography, graphic design, or related visual arts skills.
